Ricki Frankel has specialized in helping people and
organizations navigate through big transitions since the
mid-1990’s. Her typical coaching clients are senior
professionals and entrepreneurs who have achieved
some success in the world and are now seeking
“more”: more meaning and significance, more impact,
more leadership, more business – even more fun. Her
coaching style combines well-honed professional
coaching skills with sharp insight, organizational
experience, intuition, compassion and laughter. She is
particularly passionate about helping her clients make
“work work” for themselves and the people who work for
them.
In addition to her coaching practice, Ricki works with
organizations and teams to create an environment
where people believe that what they do matters. She
helps develop leadership potential, expand employee
engagement and increase effectiveness and
satisfaction.
In her role as adjunct staff at Stanford’s Graduate
School of Business (GSB), Ricki is involved with the
design and the delivery of several MBA courses,
including “Leadership Coaching”, “Interpersonal
Dynamics”, and “Taking Stock and Moving Forward”. In
this capacity, Ricki works with emerging leaders to
develop coaching, leadership, influence and
communication skills. In addition, she has just been
asked to join the team for the new Beacon initiative – a
life initiatives for alumni who have achieved their career
goals and now are looking to design the next stage of
their lives with meaning and engagement.
Ricki’s coaching and consulting is complemented by
her solid business experience gained during a previous
career in software marketing and product management
at Apple Computer, Sun Microsystems and Autodesk,
Inc. Her coaching certifications are from the
International Coach Federation and the Coaches
Training Institute. She has been Special Editor for the
books, How to Survive Your First (or Any) Job and Life
After College. Ricki’s various community involvements
include having been selected as a Wexner Fellow, and

"I especially appreciate the openness of Ricki's approach -- the right balance between being structured and directed toward the goal, while at the same time remaining very open and flexible. We achieved positive results in the short term in an unexpected direction and have kept the long term goal in sharp focus." Financial Services Professional
